Milton’s Paradise Lost
Completely new binding. Half bound in leather. New tooled spine and new marbled boards.
Filices Britannicae 1785
Leather re-back with new tooling and four corner repairs. We kept the original marbled boards and end papers.
Geneva Bible 1641
New leather binding with raised bands and sympathetically tooled.

Student Artist’s Books
A selection of recent artist books that demonstrate the variety of materials and styles we can accommodate. From blind embossed paper covers to custom embroidered fabrics.
In the Company of Kings
We worked closely with the customer to choose the right materials to suit the project. The book is quarter bound in black book cloth, with bespoke printed boards and black end papers.
Chesil Beach and Antigone
Section sewn and bound in a hard wearing Buckram book cloth and laid cotton rag paper, embossed in gold on the front.

University of Bristol
A number of years ago we were asked by Bristol University to make a small run of bespoke screw post bindings. This binding method allowed them to easily change or add pages and we designed the book in such a way as to hide the screws from view.
Shaun the Sheep
We were approached by Aardman Animations to bind one of the scripts as a special gift to the production team. Bound in black book cloth and blocked with gold foil.

For this project the customers supplied the printed cover and pages and we stab-bound the book for extra durability.
